About this talk
Join us in-person at King's or online on 23 June for a special King's Experts Series event, Brexit: Ten Years On. Hosted with King's Professor Anand Menon of UK in a Changing Europe and chaired by award-winning journalist Jane Corbin (English Literature, 1975), we are convening a panel of experts to discuss the legacy of the UK's 2016 decision to leave the European Union. Ten years after the Brexit referendum, debate continues over its lasting effects on Britain's politics, economy and place in the world. From shifts in domestic policy to changing relationships with European and global partners, Brexit has reshaped the UK in complex and often unexpected ways. The discussion will examine how research at King's has helped shape understanding of Brexit's impacts, how policymakers assess the current UK–EU landscape, and what lessons can be learned as the UK navigates the next phase of its relationship with Europe and the wider world. Drawing on in-depth research from King's College London and its partners, along with real‑world policy experience, the panel will assess what Brexit has meant in practice and explore where the UK may go next.
