About this talk

Join bestselling author Liane Moriarty as she discusses her eagerly awaited new novel Big Little Truths in conversation with broadcaster Aasmah Mir. Big Little Truths is the much-anticipated sequel to Big Little Lies, the breakout worldwide phenomenon and an Emmy and Golden Globe Award–winning HBO sensation that was produced by and stars Reese Witherspoon and Nicole Kidman. Following on from its predecessor, Big Little Truths revisits Madeline, Celeste and Jane and their now teenage children ten years after the original story. Liane Moriarty is the author of ten bestselling novels, many of which have been made into hugely successful TV series – Nine Perfect Strangers, The Last Anniversary and Apples Never Fall. Her skill in blending sublime writing with propulsive plots and unforgettable characters has seen her sell over three million books in the UK and 20 million worldwide. Aasmah Mir is a multi-award-winning broadcaster who has worked in TV and radio for over 25 years, most recently co-presenting Times Radio Breakfast while serving as a columnist for The Sunday Times. Having previously co-presented Saturday Live on BBC Radio 4 and Drive on Radio 5 Live, she has also reported for ITV during General Elections and presented landmark TV events for BBC1, winning various awards along the way. Mir’s first memoir, now entitled A Glasgow Girl, was published in 2023 to critical acclaim.
