About this talk
How do the words of Pan-African leaders relate to our modern-day? This listening session dissects the recorded speeches and soundbites from some of history's significant activists. Organiser and political commentator Busayo Twins hosts a deep listening session with Nubia Assata and Niles 'Asheber' Hailstones, dissecting the political speeches, discussions, and soundbites to discuss the words of Pan-African activists and leaders and examine how Pan-Africanism relates to our modern day and what the future of Pan-Africanism looks like. Everything Is Political is a series by Busayo Twins breaking down complex political issues with clarity, urgency and care. Complementing the Project a Black Planet: The Art & Culture of Panafrica exhibition, this specially curated strand of listening sessions invites audiences into the Gallery across three Friday nights to view the exhibition before an opportunity to reflect collectively via a thought-provoking, multi-disciplinary session. Tickets to this event also include access to view the Project a Black Planet: Exhibition between 6PM-8PM. Age recommendation: 14+. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.
