About this talk
Marking the centenary of Claude Monet's death, this talk celebrates the first major English-language publication of the French artist's letters. His paintings are of nearly universal renown, but the Impressionist's correspondence offers a new and intimate glimpse into his life, revealing his passions, anxieties and frank opinions. Teresa Krasny, the editor of Claude Monet: A Life in Letters, will be joined by curator Ann Dumas to discuss how Monet's letters expand our view of the artist's working life and practice.
