About this talk

Humanitarian aid as life continues in Ukraine. More than 11 million people in Ukraine are in need of humanitarian assistance. Millions are displaced within the country, while millions more live on the frontline. And yet, people continue to work, rebuild, adapt, and maintain the routines of daily life. Their needs are far from uniform. This panel draws on firsthand experience from Ukrainians and groups working closely with communities across the country to offer a perspective on what's needed, what's being delivered and the realities of distributing aid effectively. On the ground, this ranges from ambulances, window repair solutions and emergency frontline aid to drone jammers and nets, alongside everyday essentials such as painkillers, yoga mats and bed linen for camouflage nets. Where are there still gaps? At the same time, conditions for delivering aid have become increasingly dangerous and complex. Infrastructure is under attack, and those providing aid face significant physical and mental risks. What lessons have emerged from those working on the ground?
