About this talk
Ryan Hunn and Musa Okwonga host a live edition of Stadio: A Football Podcast, diving into the beautiful game with their guest, comedian Nish Kumar. Since starting in 2019, Stadio has gained a global reputation for its alternative approach to football, as well as its inclusive and progressive social stance and a love of weaving anything from film, music and cultural references into discussions. Musa Okwonga is a writer and broadcaster, whose recent books include In The End, It Was All About Love (Rough Trade, 2021) and One of Them (Unbound, 2021). In addition to co-founding and overseeing the creative direction and production of Stadio, Ryan Hunn has worked on Ian Wright’s Wrighty’s House podcast and many other projects. Nish Kumar is an internationally famed meme, wonderfully nice gentleman and a “bloody good comedian” (according to Time Out). Kumar has achieved huge success on the stand-up circuit with five rave-reviewed solo stand-up shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, two of which gained nominations for the prestigious Comedy Award for Best Show. Alongside stand-up, Kumar is a frequent voice and face across both television and radio, and with Coco Khan he hosts the award-winning political podcast Pod Save the UK.
