A day-long celebration exploring Pan-Africanism through storytelling, dance, music, and art-making across multiple sessions: 12pm - 1.30pm: Me Wan Go Home - Musical storytelling with Usifu Jalloh exploring journeys of Pan-Africanist figures like Harriet Tubman and Granny Nanny. 1.30pm - 2.15pm: ROOTS, ROUTE AND RHYTHM - African dance with Nii Kwartey Owoo, featuring traditional West African dance from Ga heritage. 2.30pm - 3.30pm: Memories from Storytellers and Griots - Community leaders share stories of Carnival traditions in the UK. 3.30pm - 6pm: Maps to Elsewhere and Otherwise - Artist-curator Fikayo Adebajo leads a collage-based making session exploring Pan-Africanism through artifacts, maps, and personal reflection. 4.30pm - 6pm: Pan-Africanism in the Arts - Interactive panel discussion exploring how Pan-Africanism has shaped culture and identity through literature and visual art from the 20th century to present.
