About this talk
Join Adam Met, climate advocate, educator and member of the multiplatinum band AJR, as he discusses how we can protect the planet and examines the future of climate communication in an age of political polarization, algorithmic media, and public distrust. From stadium acts to indie singer-songwriters, musicians have pioneered ways of sparking passion, building awareness, and catalysing engagement. Now imagine if social movements, from the fight to protect the planet to campaigns promoting global health had the same fervent support as your favourite artists. Drawing from his work across climate advocacy, entertainment, and movement-building, Adam explores why facts alone rarely drive action, and how storytelling, identity, culture, and community shape the way people engage with the climate crisis. This event is part of the LSE Festival: How to save the planet running from Monday 15 to Saturday 20 June 2026.
