About this talk
Non-invasive neuromodulation represents a major opportunity for brain and mental health interventions. Based its ability to target deep-brain structures, transcranial focused ultrasound neuromodulation is the most promising approach, destined to change future interventions. However, how can we develop this technology to be used at scale: helping a large cohort of patients suffering from brain or mental health conditions? While we are developing closed-loop ultrasound neuromodulation for depression and schizophrenia patients, the need for MRI scans and neuronavigation limits the reach of the current technology. I will describe some of the challenges and potential solutions for instead using at-home devices for neuromodulation.
