On the 28th October Oxford will be hosting the award-winning Egyptian film director Amir Ramses for the Oxford premiere of his latest film, ‘Jews of Egypt’.

This ground-breaking documentary explores the lives of the Egyptian Jewish community in the first half of the twentieth century until their second grand exodus after the tripartite attack of 1956. The film seeks to understand the changes of identity experienced by Egyptian society that turned it from a society full of tolerance and acceptance to one of rejection and hate.
