Biography
Mr. Checketts, MBA, is Chairman, CEO and co-owner of Legends with the Steinbrenner family and Jerry Jones, the owners of the New York Yankees and Dallas Cowboys respectively.

After receiving his MBA, Dave was offered the opportunity to be the youngest general manager in US professional basketball (NBA) history and continues to hold that record. He advanced to run the largest sports franchise in North America when he became CEO over the entire sports, entertainment and broadcasting franchise for Madison Square Garden (MSG) in New York City, including Radio City Music Hall. There are few athletes or entertainers in the world that Mr. Checketts has not interacted with personally.

A former Bain consultant, and global expert on strategy and turnarounds, he recently purchased the St. Louis Blues professional NHL hockey team and within three years brought them from the bottom of a 30 team league to the top three teams in the league.

When the New York Knicks NBA basketball team struggled to sell their premier VIP courtside seats Mr. Checketts took over as CEO, and took a contrarian approach to selling the tickets and within months he had thousands of buyers on a waiting list desiring to purchase tickets.
