Special Event for digital artists with learning disabilities at Modern Art Oxford

Shadowlight Artists. Friday December 4th – 1.00pm – 3.00pm. Free

The Shadowlight Artists are an independent group of digital artists with learning disabilities based in Oxfordshire, and supported by Film Oxford. The group has exhibited work in major galleries, broadcast on TV, and presented films at the National Film Theatre, London, and festivals around the world. Shadowlight Artists will be screening a retrospective of work alongside the premiere of their new experimental film Dreamsville.

This event is part of a three week residency at Modern Art Oxford Film Studio project. Running throughout each day we will be presenting a rolling screening programme of films drawn from our archive which will include drama, documentary, dance and experimental, giving you an opportunity to see a raft of film made in Oxford from the 1980’s through to present day. A rolling loop will be projected in the education room, offering an eclectic mix of programming to suit all tastes. In addition there will be individual screens where you will be able to select genre and titles.

In addition to the screening programme we will be holding events and activities showcasing Film Oxford projects.

All screenings and events are open to the public and are free.
