Celebrate the launch of this years Oxfordshire Science Festival by joining Richard Dawkins in conversation with Yan Wong about his previously unpublished essays on evolutionary theory and how our tree of life is presented in museums and other settings.

Richard Dawkins was the Charles Simonyi Professor of the Public Understanding of Science at Oxford University from 1995 to 2008. He is an internationally best-selling author. Among his books are The Ancestor’s Tale, The Selfish Gene, The Blind Watchmaker, Climbing Mount Improbable, Unweaving the Rainbow, A Devil’s Chaplain, The God Delusion, The Greatest Show on Earth and The Magic of Reality. His most recent books are his two-part autobiography. Part 1 An Appetite for Wonder, released in 2013 and A Brief Candle in the Dark released in 2015.

Yan Wong is an evolutionary biologist who (in his own words) has “rather randomly strayed into presenting general science on the TV and radio”. He has turned his hand to a wide range of science, but his specialism is in computer and mathematical modelling of evolutionary genetics. He is probably best known for his role in the BBC One programme Bang Goes The Theory.
