The first of the Oxford Human Rights Festival lunchtime seminars showcasing work done here at Brookes around the theme of IDENTITY.

Reader in Psychology Dr. Mark Burgess asks who are we and what forms our identity. He is a social psychologist and his research focuses on Transformative Experiences; those experiences whose effects could not have been fully appreciated in advance and that change an individual’s understanding of Self in some way. All of his research is founded upon an Existential understanding of Self.
