The Ageing Delusion
This talk will summarise why most things you hear about ageing in the popular press is, at best, inaccurate. Avi will also share the ‘rational optimist’s’ view of the future of anti-ageing therapies.
Can you truly be a ‘healthy’ 80-year-old? For how long can a human possibly live? Can you become immortal? Should you? What progress are we making in aging research? What does ‘aging’ actually mean?
Oxford’s Avi Roy, established aging researcher with a background in Biomedical science and computer science, will be giving an inaugural talk on the facts and common misconceptions about aging research, and how we may all live extraordinarily long lives.
