Morten Kringelbach, senior researcher at Oxford’s Psychiatry Department, will talk to us about the importance of pleasure in art. He has recently written a book entitled ‘The Aesthetic Brain’ in which he discusses not only the visual arts but also the importance of music as a tool for elucidating the underlying neural mechanisms. He will also share with us ideas about his collaboration with sculptress Annie Cattrell.
