The St. Thomas More lecture is our flagship speaker event each year, where we have an emininent speaker give a special talk on a subject of their choice. This year’s talk takes place on Saturday 24th May.

This term, we are delighted to be joined by a member of the Chaplaincy’s congregation, Prof. Henry Mayr-Harting, Emeritus Regius Professor of Ecclesiastical History and first Catholic Lay Canon of Christ Church Cathedral.

Prof. Mayr-Harting talk will be ‘Confession Yesterday and Today’, with a time period ranging from the Middle Ages right up to the present day.

There will be Mass of St. Thomas More at 4pm, followed by the talk at 5pm in the Newman Room at the University Catholic Chaplaincy. A meal will follow afterwards, sign up form here:https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1NfEiWSiON-36GrlxN3D2VjWr7dot1FeA3Yu4ZUUY3pU/viewform?usp=send_form
