Digital Youth. Saturday December 5th – 11.30am – 4.00pm. Free
The DIGITAL YOUTH is for 14 – 19 year olds wanting to explore the latest creative digital technologies and get you involved in some ground breaking productions and projects. At Film Oxford we look to bring the most passionate young film and digital creators together to explore, develop and create amazing new work for screen, web and performance.
For the Film Studio project we will be offering free workshops giving you a chance to learn how to VJ (video jockey) like a professional, try out the latest software and create an electric environment using computers and projectors. Visitors will also be able see some of the exciting films made by the Digital Youth group.
This is part of a three week residency at Modern Art Oxford Film Studio project. Running throughout each day we will be presenting a rolling screening programme of films drawn from our archive which will include drama, documentary, dance and experimental, giving you an opportunity to see a raft of film made in Oxford from the 1980’s through to present day. A rolling loop will be projected in the education room, offering an eclectic mix of programming to suit all tastes. In addition there will be individual screens where you will be able to select genre and titles.
In addition to the screening programme we will be holding events and activities showcasing Film Oxford projects.
All screenings and events are open to the public and are free.
