Oxford Students for Liberty’s campaign to raise awareness of current human rights abuses in North Korea, and the possibility of NGO led responses thereto, continues with this talk by Young-hae Chi. Young-hae Chi is an instructor in Korean at the Oxford Oriental Institute and at Regent’s Park College. Aside from an interest in ‘North Korean refugee problems and the role of NGOs’, he also studies North Korean dialects and the adaptability of UK educated to Korean children to South Korean culture and its school system. He is thus in an excellent position to comment on the difficulties and challenges facing the North Korean people today.

The event is free, and afterwards attendees will be welcome to migrate across to the King’s Arms for further discussion. Anyone interested in the status of human rights in the world today is urged to attend, and those interested in getting involved in the broader campaign will be able to talk to OSFL committee members present at the event.
We look forward to seeing many of you there.
