Divesting Effectively: OxPolicy Report Launch & Panel Debate

What effects has the fossil fuel divestment movement had? How can we increase the impact of the fossil fuel divestment movement, especially in achieving not only symbolic victories but also concrete changes?

We will present the findings of our research project, and also engage in a panel discussion bringing together speakers with experiences in activism, academia, and investment practices.

Our speakers:

Andrew Taylor is the campaign manager at Fossil Free UK who is coordinating divestment campaigns throughout the U.K.
Helene Winch is responsible for renewable energy investment strategies at Low Carbon and has 20 years of experience in the investment industry
Professor Cameron Hepburn is Professor of Environmental Economics based at Smith School of Enterprise and Environment and the Institute for New Economic Thinking at the University of Oxford

The panel will be followed by a Q&A.
