Join us for an evening of informal talks and performances. This event is the culmination of VERVE Artist-in-Residence Nathaniel Mann’s time at the Pitt Rivers., whose performance will reference voice disguisers, mbiras and bottle-top harmonies. Talks and demos by wax cylinder and 78s historian Dr Greg Butler, and have-a-go instruments including Neolithic bone whistles presented by Andy Lamb from the Bate Collection of Musical Instruments. Italian writer Daniela Cascella will recite her new work and look out for a ‘sonic intervention’ among the displays by artist Sam Kidel. Part of the Oxford University Museum’s ‘Reactions’ Arts and Science week. FREE, drop-in, cash bar.
