One of the key figures in Oxford’s musical life, Marios Papadopoulos, speaks in the Rector’s Lodgings at Exeter College on Sunday January 19 at 4.30. As the founder and music director of Oxford Philomusica, the city’s orchestra in residence, Marios has built an orchestra of national calibre. He will talk on the theme of “Preparing for a Performance”, discussing practice methods and rehearsal procedures, as well as programming which in turn is key to attracting audiences and sponsorship, and thus to the financial viability of an event.
Please sign in at the Porters’ Lodge. All members and alumni of the University of Oxford are welcome.
