Tony Hayward is an established artist, publisher and lecturer at several art institutions, including the Royal College of Art and the Camberwell College of Art. Hayward’s connection with the Pitt Rivers began in the late 1990’s when collecting artefacts for the exhibition ‘Transformation: The Art of Recycling’ (2000). He curates the current exhibition ‘Distantly Relative’ at the Museum, featuring work by students from the Royal College of Art. This fascinating illustrated talk will discuss his collecting and publishing, the ‘Distantly Relative’ exhibition and working with RCA students within the context of the Museum.
