Join healthy ageing champion Muir Gray to find out how we can all drop a decade in the pursuit for eternal youth. Ever since the myth of the ambrosia of the gods in Ancient Greece, we have been searching for the elixir of life. Billions of dollars are spent every year on the hunt for immortality. Google has even set up a company with the goal of combating ageing. However, perhaps we already have the knowledge of how to survive until ninety, or even a hundred, with a good quality of life.
Muir works with both NHS England and Public Health England on finding ways to improve healthcare for people and populations. He sees his passion for healthy ageing as a hobby and has published several books on the subject, including Sod 70! The Guide To Living Well, a follow-up called Sod 60! for people aged 40-60, and Midlife: Look Younger, Live Younger, Feel Better.
Join us for the next event in our Science on Your Doorstep series, where we shine a spotlight on fascinating people living and working in Headington. The event is free to attend, but you are invited to make a donation towards a special fund we’re setting up to support disadvantaged schools across the region. The fund will help these schools with their travel costs, to enable them to come and enjoy the new Science Oxford Centre.
