An intensive three-day workshop (27 July afternoon to 29 July afternoon 2026) offered by the Oxford Centre for Korean Studies in collaboration with the Korean Education Centre in the UK. Led by Professor Jieun Kiaer (University of Oxford) and Deborah Smith, the award-winning translator of The Vegetarian by Han Kang, winner of the 2024 Nobel Prize in Literature. The masterclass offers a rare opportunity to explore Korean literature through guided reading, discussion, and hands-on translation practice. Only 10 places available. Applications close Thursday 16 July.
