About this talk
This paper will introduce the letters of Catherine the Great as a corpus, explain the publication history of the letters (numbering somewhere between 9-11,000) and the absence of a print edition; discuss the motivations behind the Digital Correspondence of Catherine the Great (known as CatCor); provide an overview of the history of this resource and its structure and functions; and demonstrate its functionality as a resource and scope for development. The speaker, Professor Andrew Kahn, is the original PI on the project who worked closely from its origins with Professor Kelsey Rubin-Detlev, the current co-PI.
