GCF Week 2: Does Freedom Matter? by Dr. Tom Simpson

In this academic presentation, philosopher and public policy researcher Dr Tom Simpson of the Blavatnik School of Government will be looking at different notions of freedom, and trying to work out what difference (if any) it makes being a Christian on how one thinks about the issue: both political and metaphysical notions of freedom will be addressed. Having spent 5 years outside of academia in the military Dr. Tom Simpson works on the idea of trust in theory as well as practical application, leading to publications on the ethics of security and new technologies like militarised drones.
