This lecture is a collaboration between the Oxford Martin School and the Biodiversity Institute, an Oxford Martin School Institute

The presentation gives a general overview about the trends that currently change the Arctic region and it describes what the Arctic Council is and how it operates in order to promote sustainable development and environmental protection in the Arctic region. It also presents the idea behind the initiative on the EU Arctic Information Centre.
