Earlier this year, the radical film-maker Ken Loach called on the left to come together to discuss the formation of a new political party. Left Unity is a coalition of left-wing forces which will be launched officially as a party in late November. Come and hear leading figures from the organisation talk about the need for a new party of the radical left to fight austerity, defend welfare and campaign for socialist, egalitarian, environmentalist and feminist politics – and how we aim to do it.
