SOLD, starring Gillian Anderson and with Emma Thompson as Executive Producer, tells the story of Lakshmi, a thirteen year-old Nepali girl trafficked to a brothel in India. Shockingly, Lakshmi’s story is just one of an estimated 32-54 girls trafficked from Nepal every day.

Childreach International’s ‘Taught, Not Trafficked’ campaign works to tackle the root causes of child trafficking in Sindhupalchowk, Nepal. Through a partnership with SOLD, Childreach is bringing this film to the heart of Oxford.

The film will be followed by panel of local experts including:
– Jason Hogg (Thames Valley Police)
– Dr Maureen Brookes (COMBAT – Oxford Brookes)
– OXCAT (Oxford Community Against Trafficking)

Join us to shine a light on the biggest human rights issue of our time.
