Dr David Garry is a Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine & Anaesthetics (Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust) and a FICM Trainee Representative.

His talk entitled “Haemodynamic monitoring in the critically ill patient: current and evolving echo techniques” will cover the theory underlying haemodynamic monitoring, how we have done it up to now and why echocardiography is a good way of doing it. He will be using clinical cases to illustrate the practical everyday utility of this modality and will touch on what the future holds.

The lecture will be chaired by Professor Freddie Hamdy, Head of Department at the Nuffield Department of Surgical Sciences.

All members of the University and NHS clinical staff are welcome.
