Professor Pyle is a volcanologist and Professor of Earth Sciences at the University of Oxford with broad interests in understanding how volcanoes work, and in the causes and consequences of volcanic activity. He is curator of the Volcanoes exhibition which is currently on display in the Weston Library, Oxford until 21 May, 2017. Entry to the exhibition is free.
