Recent events in Syria and elsewhere have brought to the fore again the ongoing question of intervention – on what grounds (if any) is it justifiable to enter into armed conflict?

We are pleased to be hosting this year’s Veritas Forum at Oxford on the theme of just war and humanitarian intervention, with two distinguished speakers, Professor Nigel Biggar (Regius Professor of Moral and Pastoral Theology, Christ Church) and The Rt Hon Clare Short (Former Secretary of State for International Development).
