This one-day symposium open to the public aims to commemorate Ramon y Cajal discoveries in the 111th aniversary of his Nobel prize, and to bring neuroscience research closer to a general audience. We will go on a trip from basic neuroscience to clinical applications and processes like consciousness, highlighting the impact of Ramon y Cajal in the discipline.

The agenda with accessible presentations by world-leading neuroscientists will include:

Spanish Professor Javier de Felipe (Ramon y Cajal Institute, Madrid) worldwide expert on Ramon y Cajal’s discoveries and legacy).
British eminence Professor Tim Bliss, recently awarded the most prestigious Neuroscience recognition (Brain Prize).
Baroness Professor Susan Greenfield, professor at Oxford University, who will bring us to the clinical field of neuroscience and what happens when things go wrong and the current strategies for treating neurological disorders.

The event will finish with an open round table where the speakers will answer questions from the audience.

The event is free and lunch will be provided, but registration is needed, as the number of seats is limited. If you register but are not longer able to attend this event, please get in contact and we will assign your place to somebody else.
