More Information

In 2014 GlobalGiving UK completed the second year of its Field
Evaluation Programme for grassroots NGOs.

The programme involved sending skilled volunteers (whom we provide
intensive training and support to) to the field to conduct 29 in-depth
project evaluations. Alongside practical, hands on support, an audit
report was prepared for each organisation. GlobalGiving partners were
evaluated in Lebanon, Uganda, Rwanda, Bosnia, Kosovo, Serbia, India,
Russia, Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia and Tanzania.

This event offers a unique opportunity to hear from volunteers and
project partners about their direct experiences of the programme and
their learning; and explore the role evaluation can and does play for
grassroots organisations.

We will also demonstrate how we apply our learning from field
evaluations into our online effectiveness dashboards (using big data
to help partners benchmark themselves in real-time) and create content
for our online peer learning network. We are passionate about helping
organisations to do the best possible work on the ground.

The event will be fun and informative with an opportunity for
networking at the end.

The event is relevant to all with an active interest in community
development but will be particularly of interest to development
practitioners, academics, funders interested in evaluation, data or
meaningful volunteering and potential volunteers for our 2015
programme (deadline 31/01/15).
