Why did drawings come to dominate the output of Leonardo and what did he hope to achieve with over 6,000? You will look at his peripatetic life from Florence to Milan, to Rome and France, through a selection of his drawings, his interests in proportion, the mind of Man, workings of the human body, WMD’s, anti- Semitism, obsession with reproduction and man-powered flight. We will gain an insight into his mind, the difficulties he had in carrying out dissections and how he achieved fame but ultimately no fortune.
