Simon Garfield talks about A Notable Woman

After her death in 1986 Jean Lucy Pratt’s niece found over forty diaries kept by her aunt since 1925. Now award winning author Simon Garfield has edited these diaries into A Notable Woman – the full and frank account of a single woman’s trials and tribulations during the 20th century; from the Roaring 20s, the London arts scene of the 30s, the Second World War and beyond. What a woman, and what times she lived through! The event is hosted by the Friends of West Hampstead Library and is free of charge. But please be prompt to be assured of a seat.
