Many are fearful as we rush headlong into a post-truth world. Post-truth may have begun as an attack on the lies and deceit of politicians, but it has now become the description of our age.

The digital revolution was supposed to herald a new era of openness.  Remember the Arab spring?  Instead it has uncovered a myriad of contradictory perspectives and untrustworthy ‘truths’ where the loudest and most powerful threaten to be the only winners.

Do we have to accept that, along with the liberal consensus, the era of objective truth is over?  Or is there a way to row back from the chaos?

And if post-truth is unavoidable how should we make sense of the world, and more importantly, how might we make it a better place?
