Join our discussion panel with Rosalind McKever (arts historian), Ceri Brenner (physicist) and Alistair McClymont (artist) who will be exploring how art is impacted by developments in science. Are there parallels between the influence of scientific technologies on Italian Futurism at the start of the 20th century and how the latest developments in laser physics are inspiring artists today? The evening will begin in the gallery with a chance to try hands-on science demonstrations followed by a panel discussion and a Q&A.
This event has been formed in partnership with the Institute of Physics and Estorick Collection of modern Italian art.
