From jewellery and domestic utensils to weaponry and religious objects, artefacts provide a vivid connection to London’s Roman past.
This lecture explores the ways in which archaeologists can analyse and interpret these objects, presenting some results of the latest research into the artefacts from excavations in the City of London and the new insights they provide into the lives of the first Londoners.
Part of the Mondays at One Archaeology Series.
This is a free public lecture by Michael Marshall from the Museum of London Archaeology Department.
There is no need to book in advance for this lecture. It runs on a first come first served basis.
