Climate Change & the Common Good: The Cultural Challenge

This public event at St Paul’s Cathedral, organised in partnership with the Diocese of London, will explore the behavioural and organisational changes needed to mitigate climate change, alongside a display of cultural expressions focusing on the issue. Key attention will be placed on the role that culture can play in overcoming this challenge, and how we can best harness a collective response across multiple levels of society.

What role might local communities play, and how can each of us contribute? How do we build the political will needed to instigate effective change? Will innovation in the business sector emerge quickly enough? Can our arts and entertainment sectors help overcome a collective apathy towards action?

Following the panel discussion there will be a cultural space held in the crypt of St Paul’s. This space will see a number of different organisations, artists and campaigners come together to showcase a range of cultural expressions and responses to climate change…from architecture to film, activism to fashion (even a few games!).

This event is free to attend and open to all, but registration is essential.
