Opening the door to a future – how the British Kidney Patient Association changed lives
Speaker: Fiona Loud

45 years ago, a time when neither dialysis nor transplantation was widely available, Mrs Elizabeth Ward, the mother of a young kidney patient, set out to revolutionise quality of life for people with kidney failure. She was a fearless pioneer who initiated the first organ donor card, created the first holiday dialysis units and much more. The story of a unique charity is told by someone whose own life has been improved immeasurably through a kidney transplant.

Lunchtime lectures last approximately 45 minutes plus time for questions.

All lunchtime lectures are supported with live Speech-to-text delivered by Stagetext for D/deaf, deafened and hard of hearing.

Tickets: £4 – booking essential on 020 7869 6568
