A view from Hampstead Heath, an underground river, a fallen tree, the ‘mythical’ woods of Lambeth: how do poets weave the ground they stand on, or remembered and imagined places, into their work? How does poetry transform space into place?
Join us for an evening of discussion at Enitharmon Press. Poets Jane Duran, Sharon Morris and Anna Robinson, will be reading a selection of poems, and talking about the role of place in their work.
Conversations will be accompanied by an exhibition of visual work responding to the theme ‘poetry of place’, followed by a drinks reception.
Led by PhD students Francesca Allfrey and Ruth Bernatek, Poetry of Place is hosted by Enitharmon Press and is a pre-event for the London Arts and Humanities Partnership’s Third Annual Research Day.
