PSA Fundraising event on Wednesday 29 November 7pm with composer David Arnold [tickets]
Who links James Bond, Sherlock Holmes, Little Britain and Godzilla?
David Arnold is Britain’s leading film and TV composer. He’s the man behind the music for the hit Sherlock Holmes TV series and five classic Bond films.
David scored such Hollywood blockbusters as Independence Day, Stargate, Godzilla, Chronicles of Narnia and Zoolander. He collaborated with Matt Lucas and David Walliams on Little Britain and was musical director for the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. He has won Grammy, Emmy and Ivor Novello awards. He also had a hit single with Bjork!
And he’s a very funny fellow, too.
At this intimate evening David will be having a frank conversation with music journalist and TV presenter Neil McCormick in the Barton Theatre at Arts & Media School Islington.
Come and meet the man with the golden baton, the composer with a license to thrill, and find out exactly what it takes to create soundtracks and classic TV themes, and work with stars of the calibre of Shirley Bassey, Iggy Pop, Sheryl Crow, Jarvis Cocker, Madonna, Garbage, Massive Attack, Emeli Sande and the late Amy Winehouse and Chris Cornell …
… not to mention Daniel Craig, Pierce Brosnan and Benedict Cumberbatch.
You will be shaken. And stirred!
