On Wednesday 15th October a PubSci event curated by Melissa Marr will showcase the achievements of women in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) via our annual Ada Lovelace evening. Innovator, pioneer and widely acknowledged as the world’s first computer programmer, Ada has become a figurehead for the accomplishments of women in STEM. To celebrate this we have brought together researchers from a range of fields to share their experiences, research and talk about what inspired them to enter science.

Among them are:

  • Dada Gottelli, Zoologist and Chief Technician at the Institute of Zoology
  • Ashley Hyde, Astrophysicist
  • Eileen Cox, Head of Postgraduate Studies, Natural History Museum
