Patrick Marber talks about adapting and directing his new production of Eugène Ionesco’s Exit the King, which is currently at the National Theatre until 6 October 2018.

Patrick Marber’s plays for the National Theatre include Dealer’s Choice, Closer, The Red Lion, Three Days in the Country, The Beaux’ Stratagem, and Hedda Gabler.

There will be a free archive handling session in the Olivier foyer for 30 minutes before and after this talk, with the chance to get hands-on with original designs and materials from the world premiere of Exit the King in the 1960s as well as Ionesco’s original sketches for Rhinoceros.
