The essence of financial prices is that they should reflect all publicly available information. This means that they should have no predictive power for future financial prices. But learning, fads, fashions and herds tend to throw up anomalies for this position. And the role of incomplete or asymmetric information should not be overlooked after the crisis. Can the hypothesis be rescued?

This is a free public lecture by Jagjit Chadha, Gresham Professor of Commerce.

There is no need to book in advance for this lecture. It runs on a first come first served basis.
