Can we retain the notion of rationality and explain the puzzles of economics? After generations of trying to force the theory to fit, it seems painfully obvious that the simple economic theories based on perfect rationality are at conflict with the real world. What is to be done…? Perhaps learning, or the lack of it, is the answer.

This is a free public lecture by Jagjit Chadha, Gresham Professor of Commerce.

There is no need to book in advance for this lecture. It runs on a first come first served basis.
