We’re back in August with a very rare screening of NO BLADE OF GRASS (1970), Cornel Wilde’s ferocious adaption of John Christopher’s 1956 post-apocalyptic novel The Death of Grass:

An environmental catastrophe destroys civilization. Thousands are starving. Millions are dead. Among the survivors are the Custance clan. Led by father John and mother Ann, they abandon London and head for the sanctuary of John’s brother’s farm. But their quest for safety takes them across a country fast descending into barbarism, and the civilized values they once took for granted become the price they must pay to survive…

The film will be preceded by a talk from Abi Aspen Glencross of Future Farm Lab / The Sustainable Food Story / #OurField who will ask the question ‘How do we avoid a food-pocalypse?’
