With a third of oil and gas companies planning to cut jobs further during this year, a quarter of companies said they had grown by diversifying into other sectors. One of these areas is decommissioning of North Sea equipment so now is the time to have an event looking at the opportunities of decommissioning for the industry.

The lecture will cover North Sea Decommissioning and the opportunities this can bring to the industry in the current downturn whilst also highlighting the challenges this can pose. In particular the lecture will cover the detailed technical challenges and the challenge of needing great engineers just when platforms are being installed.
